Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Cut the bread loaf in half lengthwise, creating two long pieces. Place cut-side up on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Generously spread the garlic butter mixture across both bread halves, reaching all the way to the edges. If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it evenly over the buttered surface.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the butter is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing into individual pieces.
Notes
Make the garlic butter mixture up to 3 days ahead and store covered in the refrigerator. Store leftover garlic bread wrapped in foil in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze wrapped portions for up to 1 month. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-8 minutes to restore crispiness. Avoid using cold butter as it won't spread evenly and may tear the bread.
