Blending Steps
- Add the vanilla Greek yogurt and cold milk to your blender first. This liquid foundation prevents the frozen fruit from getting stuck at the bottom and ensures smoother blending.
- Drop in the frozen strawberries and banana pieces. Using frozen fruit eliminates the need for excessive ice while creating thick, frosty texture.
- Drizzle in the honey and vanilla extract. These ingredients elevate the berry flavor without overwhelming the natural fruit taste.
- Start blending on low speed for 30 seconds, then gradually increase to high. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth. Stop and scrape down sides if needed.
- Check the thickness - the perfect smoothie should coat a spoon but still pour easily. Add more milk if too thick, or ice cubes if too thin. Taste and adjust sweetness with additional honey if desired.
Notes
Pre-portion ingredients in freezer bags the night before for faster morning prep. Add liquids first to prevent frozen fruit from clumping at the bottom. Don't over-blend or smoothie becomes watery. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 24 hours or freeze in ice cube trays. Natural separation is normal - stir before drinking.
